Preparing to apply for your mortgage

Talk to us now!

If you are thinking about your next mortgage we encourage you to talk to us as soon as possible so that we can tell you how much you will be able to borrow.

What information will you need me to provide?

The main document that we will use for our research is the Clark and Poole Fact Find.  This is a web form and it will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

All information required is requested using our secure customer portal, this is an easy system to use but for those that prefer traditional methods, we can receive documents in any way that you prefer.

It’s really important that you can provide the following to make the process quick and easy:

  • Your last month’s bank statement (this demonstrates to the lender your account ‘conduct’)
  • Three most recent payslips (these must be in PDF format because the lenders won’t accept a photo)
  • Evidence of ID (Driving Licence or Passport)
  • Proof of address (a utility bill dated within the last 3 months)

Credit history

It is essential that you tell us about all outstanding debts so that we can get you the best deal. Any background debts will be picked up when the credit search is undertaken and, if not disclosed at application, will result in a delay or decline of your application.

I just wanted to post a recommendation for Clark and Poole. I keep hearing horror stories about how long mortgages are taking at the moment due to the recent changes but I’ve just had my formal mortgage offer through and it’s taken around 3 weeks because Bob and Andy made sure I provided everything the mortgage company could possibly need up front. Great service!
